My Story is not uncommon and perhaps you have found yourself here before. I call it "Just a run of bad luck" and I'm hoping that with your generosity you might be able to help get my life back on track. In the last 2 years I've had the fortune of; Having Brain Surgery (They installed a pump in my brain); 1 Year after the pump installation, due to complication of the brain surgery I almost died of a Subdural Hematoma, I ended up in jail and lost my drivers license because of the Subdural Hematoma; My Wife of 17 years left me, her reason? She hasn't loved me for the last 17 years! I currently work for a bankrupt company and I'm on the verge of losing my job; I have a 17 year old son that needs to go to college; I have a new Filipina Girlfriend, well we all now how filipina women are, so I need cash and lots of it.

As you see, life hasn't been treating me very well. Well.... I am bound and determined to turn things around.I'm hoping that with your generosity you will help me turn my life around by making a small donation. What ever you can afford, the price of a cup of coffee perhaps. If you can relate to my plight and would life to donate a dollar or two just click the Donate button to the right and make your donation via PayPal..

Here I go again. This Time I’m Really Gonna Quit Smoking!

Yes, I’m a loser. My first attempt to quit smoking was truly an epic failure.  I blame the “good” stress I’m having with my new relationship with my eharmony babe. Getting to know her, meeting her children etc. Everything has been picture perfect so there is no excuse for me to not quit smoking. Everything is good and extremely positive right know.

So this is it. I have my last cigerette in front of me. I will savor every toke I take, because this will be the last forever.

Fifteen minutes have passed. I smoked my last cigarette. It has begun!

Like the last time, I’ll be updating this post in the comment section on a daily basis and tweeting about it through out the day.

Please, join in. I can use all the encouragement I can get!!!

Day 1 – It’s 10:06 and I’m getting ready for bed. The day went pretty good. I only had a few rough moments but they passed. I feel more confident than I did the last time. I had lots of distractions today. Tomorrow could be another story. It’s my Monday, and I’ll be bored at work so that will probably make it more difficult. Here’s a thought, maybe if I actually did some work to keep me occuppied, that will probably help. But why would I want to do that?

  2. Andy says:

Day 2 – It’s 11:09 pm. Over all a successful day. I rate it a 7 out of 10 with 10 being the least amount of cravings. I had my moments throughout the day but they passed. Positive thinking, understanding that the craving will pass, the nicoderm patch and keeping busy really helped. I just wish I’d stop coughing..

    So far I’ve saved: $10.90
    Current Weight: 216 lbs

Day 3 – It’s 12:29 am. Just got off the phone with my Boo. I’d rate this day another 7. Not bad for the 3rd day. Still have the cravings that hit, but I just remember to stay strong.. they will pass. Started working on my positive affirmations. I think they are helping. Im intrested in the concept. I want to see if I can make it work for me..

    So far I’ve saved: $16.35
    Current Weight: 215.6 lbs

Day 4 – It’s 12:48 am. I’m starting a 4 day weekend. I’m a little concerned about my cravings to smoke. But I have planned my weekend around lots of activities with my eHarmony Boo and snobby non-smokers. So I should be safe. Today was another 7. The only difference was the cravings seemed to be a little more intense. But as always.. they passed. I really think I’m gonna do it this time.. I really don’t want to smoke any more…

    So far I’ve saved: $21.80
    Current Weight: 214.6

(I weigh myself every morning when I wake up using my crappy electronic scale.)

Day 6 – Im a little late posting this one. Day 6 is rougher, a lot rougher. I didn’t smoke though. I went out for the day and forgot to put my patch on. I wanted a smoke sooooo bad after dinner. I fought it and won.. Proud of myself about yesterday. I pulled it off. Excited about Sunday. Sunday will be a mild stone.. my 7th day…

    So far I’ve saved: $32.35
    Current Weight: 214.6 lbs

  8. Andy says:

Day 7 & 8 – I missed posting for a couple of days. My apologies. I’ve been running around a lot the last two days. Been hanging with the new eHarmony Boo…I’ve been preoccupied.. Which is a good thing when it comes to quit smoking. Urges are still coming and going. Keeping myself occupied is the best though. Im in the middle of day nine right now. The urges are decreasing in intensity but they are still there. As long as I keep thinking positive, I’m gonna win this one…

    So far I’ve saved: $43.25
    Current Weight: 214.6 lbs

It took me 2 years to fully Quit Smoking, it is really difficult to Stop smoking and you need lots of self discipline to stop the cravings on cigarettes.

    • Andy says:

      Hey Marc,

Thanks for the comment.. I knew it was going to be tough… tougher than I thought…

I thought having the pressure of people looking in would help me succeed. Guess not…

I am determined, I am admittedly week at the moment….

  11. i stopped smoking a couple of months ago and it was very difficult to stop my cigarette cravings. nicotine patches helped me a lot to quit smoking.
