Octomom – Sociopath aka Psychopathy?… Or Just Your Average Mom?
I can’t believe that I’m sitting here watching, “The OctoMom – The Never Seen Video Footage.” Is Nadya a Sociopath? It sort of appears that way. I always think of a sociopath as someone that is a career criminal. She is not the classic carrer criminal but she has the classic symptoms. Mark my words… we will see her in jail sometime in the future..
Wikipedia describes Sociopath as:
Lack of a conscience in conjunction with a weak ability to defer gratification and/or control aggressive desires, often leads to antisocial acts. Psychopathy does not necessarily produce criminal and violent behavior; some psychopaths gifted in social intelligence may be able to redirect their antisocial desires toward non-criminal areas.[citation needed]
Psychopaths (and others on the pathological narcissism scale) low in social cognition are more prone to violence, occupational failure, and problems maintaining relationships. Psychopaths differ in their impulse control abilities and overall desires. Those high in the pathological narcissism scale are more equipped to succeed, but pathologicalnarcissism does not in any way guarantee success.

media, and society, perpetuates this kind of behavior by making and watching these shows. It is just like American Idol in the beginning weeks. Nut job after nut job auditioning to be the next American Idol. I call American Idol, “Making fun of the Mentally Ill”, because that is basically what they do for the first few weeks.
So why is it that making fun of or getting enjoyment from the Octomom and other mentally ill people has become America’s new favorite past time. Shouldn’t we be trying to get these people some help instead of helping them on there path of destruction? Why are those kids still with her? When she “accidentally” kills one of her children who is really to blame. We all know she’s a nut job, a clever nut job, but a nut job none the less
So I ask you… why is it that we, as so called civilized people, continue to encourge this kind of behavior from our media and people like the Octomom…. Have we become that hardened that we can just sit back and watch people distroy themselves on national television. Will we be just like Jerry, George and Elaine and end up in jail because of our apathy?
