More American Nonsense, The FTC Says That Bloggers Must Disclose Freebies On Reviews
First off, that doesn’t happen here on my blog. Everything I review is from my own first hand experience. I wish I was getting freebies, payoffs and kickbacks from advertisers for my reviews, but it’s simply not the case. I think that’s pretty obvious. Take a good look at my blog; I’m pretty much begging you for money every where you turn. When I do write about products and services that I use, I payed for them. If I like them or they work for me I say so. If I don’t like them or they don’t work for me I say so.
When I heard about the FTC coming after bloggers, the first thing that came to my mind was, “here goes those crazy Americans again”. They think they can control the Internet. I understand why they bother, but why do they?
Let’s take a look a quick look at online gambling. We Americans declared it was evil about 10 years ago and outlawed it. The companies moved off shore and the gaming continued. Then we spent millions upon millions of dollars trying to convict and harass these so called evil doers. Now almost 10 years later we have senators introducing bills to legalize and regulate gaming in the United States. Why do the senators do this? Because, besides the kickbacks, whores and perks they receive, they can not control what happens on the Internet. The Internet is a world wide phenonenum. The most we can do is to try to control our tiny tiny portion of it.
Now we are taking this nonsensical journey to control advertising because we American’s are too stupid to think for ourselves. Think about it, that is what’s really going on here. We are, yet again, trying to protect stupid people that should have been swallowed at birth by the closest predator……
[ Quick side thought: What would all the liberal people do if there were no stupid people for them to feel sorry for and protect? ]
….. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for this but my reason is different. I’m hoping and praying this will have an impact on all the bullsh@t websites out there, that just take up space and have no value what so ever. At least my blog has a little entertainment value.. I hope..
