Too Much Nonsense – My Personal Blog

This is my first review of a Blackberry App. I thought it would be fitting to write this review on my Blackberry. I can kill two birds with one stone. Learn the ins and outs of the wordpress App and practice typing on the blackberry keyboard.

Initially I wasn’t too impressed with this App. However, I’ve learned to like this little app. If your expecting an application that will do everything you can do using your browser interface, like I was, you will be sorely disappointed. But if your looking for an App to create, edit posts, pages and comments you will be extremely happy.

The Wordpress App is very easy to install and use. After installing you simply provide your blogs URL and admin username and password. The App will then sync your blogs post, pages, and comments. You can then add/edit pages, posts and comments using the application.

Other features:

You also have the ability to add photos to your posts and pages.

A Field for adding an Excerpt.

Ability to add a custom field

Ability to assign your post to a category

Ability to Preview your page or post

The app will automatically insert your html mark up with alt text for your links when you start typing “http” Example: TooMuchNonsense

Bug(s) I have discovered:

The application is still in Beta. I have version 0.9.0.149 and I’m using the Blackberry Tour 9830. The only issue I have had is that if you already have a page or post that is in draft mode in wordpress on your server the application will not sync up. Take the post or page out of draft mode and your good to go.

Overall I have to give this App a big thumbs up. It is perfect for people like me who get that ingenious idea for a post at the mall. With this App I can type it up and post it immediately. Best of all its free!
